Hello all,

I've decided to start a blog about doing little girls hair since it is something that I love and something that I do EVERY morning.
To begin, let me tell you a little about my family!
My husband and I have two kids. A seven-year-old son and a five year old daughter.

I had been doing hair professionally for quite awhile. However, when we moved to a different state temporarily, I didn't want to get a new state license for just a short amount of time. I decided to take a break from professional hair while we were here. My daughter, though, is the age where her hair is just the right thickness and length to do all kinds of fun stuff, so I keep my skills in practice. I always get the famous question "How did you do that?" from a lot of people, so I thought I'd share.

I started this blog to help those moms who have a hard time doing their little girls hair and need some easy tips and ideas to make their daughters look done up for school or church. I probably won't have many fancy things here, like some other great blogs out there have; this will show the more simple and easy ways that I find to get hair done. I will also have some hair tips every once in awhile that I personally use. If any of you have any tips or different ways that you do things, please comment; it REALLY helps!

Halo braid

This is the Halo Braid, it's simple quick and cute.
I didn't take pictures of how to do it because it's pretty simple.
It takes about 10 min and it's cute with curly and straight hair.
I've also done it with french twists and added some flowers, that seemed to make it a little more fancy like for church or a wedding.

Sides Braids

How I did these side braids is:
Part off the front section, and part into three parts from the side.

French braid each section and continue the braid the whole way down.

Put in Ponytail on the side. Instead of pulling the ponytail through leave in a loop with the braids added.

Add a cute flower and wha la!

Head Band Braid

This is the Head Band Braid, it's really easy looks really cute and looks done up nice for church.

Start by parting the front section from ear to ear.

Have you little one tilt her head from one side.  This may be uncomfortable so I have my little one rest her head on my leg while I sit and braid.

Start french braiding from the ear to the other ear, keeping the braid as close to the head as possible.

When the french braid stops, continue braiding to the end of the hair.

With this hairstyle I recommend curling the hair left down instead of leaving it straight because it hides the connecting braid underneath. (So that's why I left the hair straight in the back).

Connect it just to a small section underneath.

Let down the rest of the hair and curl.

French Braids with Pigtail Messy Buns.

For this hairstyle I started with parting off a rectangle on the top of her head.

Then I clipped back the rest of the hair so I could work with the rectangle on top.
I then parted the rectangle in a diagonal straight part.

On the right side I french braided it across, starting at the small tip to the larger end.
Then on the left side I started braiding more in the middle, then down.

After I have both braids I set them aside while I part the rest of the hair for pigtails, then I add the right braid to the right pigtail and the left braid to the left pigtail.

I did the messy buns a little different, I took it into 3 sections and twisted them around each other secured it with a rubber band and left out the ends.

I have also done this with french twists and I have also just left the pigtails down with bow.
It's cute either way!

This is the french twist version.
