Hello all,

I've decided to start a blog about doing little girls hair since it is something that I love and something that I do EVERY morning.
To begin, let me tell you a little about my family!
My husband and I have two kids. A seven-year-old son and a five year old daughter.

I had been doing hair professionally for quite awhile. However, when we moved to a different state temporarily, I didn't want to get a new state license for just a short amount of time. I decided to take a break from professional hair while we were here. My daughter, though, is the age where her hair is just the right thickness and length to do all kinds of fun stuff, so I keep my skills in practice. I always get the famous question "How did you do that?" from a lot of people, so I thought I'd share.

I started this blog to help those moms who have a hard time doing their little girls hair and need some easy tips and ideas to make their daughters look done up for school or church. I probably won't have many fancy things here, like some other great blogs out there have; this will show the more simple and easy ways that I find to get hair done. I will also have some hair tips every once in awhile that I personally use. If any of you have any tips or different ways that you do things, please comment; it REALLY helps!

Twists and Messy Buns!
I love, love Messy Buns, they are one of my favorite things to do in my Little One's hair, they're so quick and easy and there's so many different variations to do.

In this hairstyle I started with wet hair and parted the hair in half "horizontal" from ear to ear. Then in the front half I parted it down the middle "vertical". I put in 3 little ponytails on both sides.
After both sides have 3 little pony's, I twisted the front two and crossed them to the middle little pony and then I did another twisted cross with the 2nd to the 3rd.
Once, you have the two ponytails from the 3rd, then twist them and add it to a big ponytail in the back. Then to the messy bun...
I opened the ponytail up in the middle.
Wrap a rubber band around leaving the ends to fan out.
I took the ends of the hair and wrapped them around to make it look more like a bun, but I didn't worry about messy parts (hence the name "Messy Bun") I wrapped another rubber band around it a couple of times to hold in the loose ends. Something I also like to do to make it look kind of like a bow is, while I'm wrapping the rubber band around I end it in the middle of the bun and give it a bow shape.

Add a cute flower, bow or even just leave it without. And your done!
